MammoSource, LLC is a co-venture between highly regarded, U.S. trained, board certified radiologists who have specialized focus and expertise in mammography, and the founders of U.S. Radiology Partners/The Radlinx Group, one of the most respected providers of radiology services in the industry.

OUR VISION

MammoSource, LLC was founded in February of 2006, with the vision of being the leader in off-site screening mammography interpretations. American Board of Radiology (ABR) board-certified, experienced radiologists, who have dedicated their practices to Women’s Imaging, partnered with senior healthcare management professionals to create the largest off-site screening mammography practice in the US.

MammoSource, LLC was initially launched beginning with the interpretation of analog (film-based) screening mammograms. In response to the increasing utilization of digital mammography in the U.S., the last quarter of 2007 saw the Company’s operations significantly expand to include the ability to receive transmissions of digitally-acquired screening mammograms from sites throughout the country.

Women’s Breast-Care Imaging is the sole focus of MammoSource, LLC. At a time in our country when the American Cancer Society is increasingly vocal regarding the need for annual screening mammograms (and the early detection of cancer such screening allows), the founders of MammoSource, LLC recognized the critical lack of qualified radiologists to perform the increasing number of screening mammograms occurring. Such issues as low payor- reimbursement, the ever-increasing complexity of regulatory statutes and high malpractice-liability have combined to a degree that many radiologists have elected to cease their interpreting of mammography studies completely. In a market in which there is already an overall shortage of radiologists, this is not good news for women.
